LeBron James called Drake’s son, Adonis, his “nephew” after seeing an adorable video of the 4-year-old imitating his signature basketball moves, according to Complex. The “God’s Plan” rapper posted a video on Wednesday of his son shooting hoops in the OVO gym, and the Los Angeles Laker loved it.

Adonis attempted to shoot the basketball in the hoop while practicing his form and swag. After missing a shot, he mimicked James by doing his go-to double chest pat.

After missing a few more shots, the video captured Adonis running to the half court line and returning with the determination to get the ball in the net.

After Adonis made the shot, Drake and other onlookers cheered as the 4-year-old imitates James, again, and runs off the court.

“Where is he getting the mannerisms from @kingjames 😂,” Drake captioned the post.

Later, James reposted the video on his Instagram stories, saying “my nephew really love the game!!”

Other viewers on Instagram loved the video, too.

Chris Matthews praised Adonis and also referred to him as “nephew.”

“Already holding himself accountable. Got to love it,” Matthews wrote. “Nephew really love the game!”

Student-athlete and social media star Anthony Hamilton Jr. playfully teased the 4-year-old.

“Tell him to dunk it,” he wrote.

One user even predicted that Adonis will go on play for his father’s beloved team, the Raptors.

“I can see it [now],” they wrote. “Adonis taking the #TorontoDrakes to the finals his rookie year you a been dun bought the raptors by then.”

Adonis appears to be taking on his dad’s love for basketball. Drake is a global ambassador for the Toronto Raptors, and he celebrated his SBL recreation basketball league championship by getting himself and his teammates diamond rings in 2020.
