LeBron James continues to shape his post-NBA career, which will be heavily media-focused (specifically acting and producing for film and TV).
The NBA star and rapper/actor Method Man have joined the cast of Judd Apatow‘s upcoming comedy, Trainwreck.
The pair will star alongside Amy Schumer (wrote also the screenplay), Bill Hader, Brie Larson, Colin Quinn, Vanessa Bayer, Tilda Swinton, John Cena and Mike Birbiglia, in a project, set up at Universal, whose plot is currently being kept under wraps.
It’s set for a July 24, 2015 release, right in the middle of summer.

LeBron James projects previously-announced include STARZ’s half-hour scripted comedy series titled Survivor’s Remorse, which is set in the world of professional basketball and follows a basketball phenom in his early 20’s who is suddenly thrust into the limelight after signing a multi-million dollar contract with a professional basketball team, and is forced to confront the challenges of carrying opportunistic family members and their strong ties to the impoverished community that they come from.
And there’s a comedy feature titled Ballers, in which he’ll star alongside Kevin Hart, which is also set up at Universal Pictures, with Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer and Michael Rosenberg producing.
As for Method Man, he just wrapped filming the indie dramedy, The Cobbler, which stars Adam Sandler.
