LeBron James thanked the University of Southern California athletic staff and supporters for their love and wishes to his family following his son Bronny’s cardiac arrest. During basketball practice at the USC campus arena, Bronny had a cardiac arrest and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Monday. The cause of his cardiac arrest remains unclear.

“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers,” LeBron said on Twitter. “We feel you, and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready, but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us! #JamesGang.”

On Monday, James was captured by paparazzi walking into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. According to ABC News, Bronny was in stable condition on Tuesday and discharged from the hospital after a brief stay in intensive care.

“Yesterday, while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital,” a representative for the James family said, the Daily Mail reported. “He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update media when there is more information.”

“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes,” the representative continued.

In January, 25-year-old Damar Hamlin, a player for the Buffalo Bills, went into cardiac arrest after making a tackle in the first quarter of a game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The football player was in critical condition and left the hospital nine days following the incident.
