Lenny Kravitz honored all women with a powerful message he posted to his Instagram for International Women's Day.

On a day when many celebrated the achievements of women, Kravitz suggested societies make a fundamental change that would do more than pay lip service to the empowerment of women.

The four-time Grammy winner uploaded a photo of himself dressed in a blue button-down exposing his chest holding up a sign that reads, "It's time to turn it over to women! Men have had their chance to run the world and look where we are … "

The message was warmly received by the musician's followers in the post's comments section.

"We. Are. Ready!" wrote one user. 

Another added, "I actually agree. Let's see what the feminine energy can produce."

"I’m a-ok ???? with this. We’ve had a terrible run," wrote a third.

The message of global reform is one Kravitz has been advocating hard for of late. As Blavity reported, the artist's 11th studio music album, which was released last year, contained many calls for positive change, as well as pleas for the people to obsess over loving one another rather than focusing on obtaining wealth or power.
