Saturday Night Live's Leslie Jones is joining the NBC Olympics coverage team for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, following her hilarious live-tweets during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Her enthusiasm for the games garnered much attention. Whether it was swimming or gymnastics, Jones didn’t skip a beat.

As The Hollywood Reporter reported, NBC producer Mike Shoemaker spotted Jones’ commentary and tweeted to Jim Bell, executive producer of the NBC Olympics, to “give her a microphone.” The rest is history as Jones was then invited to join as a contributor.
Bell told Entertainment Weekly that “experiencing the Olympics through the lens of Leslie is unlike anything else. Her passion for Team USA is contagious, and her adventures in South Korea should be fascinating.”
Judging by Jones’ video she posted to Twitter on Tuesday, in which she's decked in American flag gear, the actress/comedian is ready to take on the 2018 Olympics.
