Lifetime is serving a quadruple dose of #blackgirlmagic with the new film, The 10th Date.

Directed by Nzingha Stewart, The 10th Date follows four friends who work at an elite website in Los Angeles while trying to balance their love lives with career ambitions.

In this two-hour rom-com, Gabby (Meagan Good), Nell (Kellee Stewart), Billie (Keri Hilson) and Margot (Kelly Rowland) ride the roller coaster that is modern dating all under the watchful eye of their editor Maureen (Cat Deeley).

Margot becomes attracted to a reggae artist that she interviews for a story. Billie finds herself unsure of how to proceed with her marriage. Gabby and Nell embark on personal journeys to their “10th date”, the moment when women believe men are finally committed.

As the four friends bounce from one situation to another, they get in tune with their relationship goals and true ambitions in life.

UnREAL‘s Jefferey Bowyer-Chapman is cast as Freddy, Nell’s bisexual boyfriend and  Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder) will appear as Dante, creative director of the website. Production began this month and is expected to wrap in October. In addition to her starring role, Good is wearing a producer hat on the project. The 10th Date premieres next year.
