Dirty Tay (real name Kentavious Wright) has landed himself in some hot water over his alleged role in a shooting that wounded a three-year-old child; however, the rapper, who’s signed to Lil Baby‘s 4PF record label, is proclaiming his innocence.

Everything unfolded earlier this month outside of a Southwest Atlanta barbershop.

On Aug. 3, as a man named Dajuan Jewell was leaving the shop with his two young children, a car pulled up and opened fire on the family. Three-year-old Javon Jewell was ultimately injured in the drive-by; thankfully, he survived the attack and is recovering at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

“It appears to be targeted incident. I’m not sure if they know one another, but it appears that shooters, in fact, wanted to shoot the occupants in that vehicle,” Deputy Chief Hampton said shortly after the incident, FOX 5 Atlanta reports.

An investigation was swiftly launched, and the situation ultimately found its way to Dirty Tay, who was arrested on Aug. 19.

Due to the allegation being related to the injury of a young child, many people expressed that they feel as if the justice system should take serious measures against Dirty Tay.

“Omg. Firing squad please,” R&B artist Tish Hyman wrote beneath The Neighborhood Talk’s post.

“Send him straight to the chair,” another user wrote.

As the rapper’s arrest has begun picking up more and more steam, Dirty Tay took to his Instagram Story to proclaim his innocence and denounce the existing coverage of the situation.

“I’m innocent the news is not always right don’t bash me because of the allegations,” he wrote.
