Lil Mama’s lip gloss is still popping 15 years later! The 33-year-old rapper is celebrating the 15th anniversary of her iconic 2008 hit “Lip Gloss” by ushering in her very own makeup and jewelry line.
Born Niatia Kirkland, the Harlem native is launching Vaniteaset Cosmetics, as well as her collaboration with jewelry company Aporro called the “It’s Poppin” collection, according to Rolling Out.
The exciting news arrived via Lil Mama’s Instagram on April 30. In the video she posted, an instrumental to “Lip Gloss” plays loudly in the background as the rapper is seated at her vanity with rollers in her hair.

During the glamorous unveiling, fans caught glances of some of the stunning items featured in the collection. Jewelry pieces include nameplate necklaces and bracelets filled with blinged-out charms, including a locket-style charm that actually contains lip gloss! The cosmetics line includes glosses, lipsticks, brushes and eye shadows.

This isn’t Lil Mama’s first time dabbling in beauty. In 2020, she partnered with i-ENVY by KISS to create her own collection of 3D eyelashes, which was sold in beauty supply stores nationwide and featured four different styles of lush lashes.
At the time, Page Six Style spoke with the then-budding mogul about her lash collection. “I definitely see myself becoming a mogul in the beauty world,” she said. “I definitely have to put out a lip gloss line. People thought I would do that before I put out an eyelash line; that’s why I didn’t do it!”
Though the exact release date for Lil Mama’s “It’s Poppin” collection is unknown, you can bet the anticipation is high!
