Lil Nas X returned to social media following a three-month break and revealed he’s been working hard. The “Call Me by Your Name” singer teased two new songs with some interesting featured artists on Wednesday: one titled “Late to the Party” featuring NBA YoungBoy, and another called “Down Souf Hoes” featuring Saucy Santana.
He also shared a photo of him and Saucy Santana hanging out in the studio together. Whatever happened in the room, it looks like a good time was had by everyone present for the photo. In the picture, Lil Nas X sits in the back with a smile on his face as he flips the camera off with both hands.
Lil Nas took a social media hiatus following his album's success.
Lil Nas X disappeared online following the release of his debut studio album, Montero, which was released in Sept. 2021. The album was a success, with three No. 1 songs and 11 overall songs charting on the Billboard Hot 100. Prior to the release of his album, the singer, who also has quite the comedic internet persona, promoted the project by equating the album drop to a pregnancy, complete with maternity pictures.
“Why are people surprised i’ve been away for so long? have y’all really never heard of maternity leave?” he jokingly tweeted, adding, “I’m so happy i’m back on the internet. i missed me so much.”
Nas X jumped back online and offered updates on his personal life.
Aside from his music, he also updated his followers on the various hairstyles he tried out over the four months he was on hiatus. He sported three different variations of faux loc hairstyles, each with their own attention-grabbing twist.

Much has changed in the Twitter landscape since he originally faded from the platform’s main lights. Social media has even found a new man to fawn over. Victor Kunda trended on Twitter earlier this week as many fans began to compare his looks to a mix of both Lil Nas X and Snowfall actor Damson Idris. In typical Lil Nas X fashion, the artist couldn’t jump online without offering his two cents on the matter.
“i can’t put my finger on why but this man is really handsome,” he joked.
