To cap off a wildly successful year, Lil Nas X decided to spread some Christmas cheer to the youth being treated at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta on Wednesday.
To celebrate the holiday, Lil Nas X, who is an Atlanta native himself, visited the children's hospital on behalf of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation which routinely brings stars like T.I. and others to meet children receiving medical treatment.
Kids at the hospital were able to hang out with 20-year-old and ask him questions. He also sang a few songs to bring smiles to the children's faces.
When one child asked the musician how many shoes he had, the singer laughed and reminded his young fans of his quick rise to stardom.
“Well, last year I had maybe three pairs of shoes and this year, I can’t even count how many are in my closet,” he said before singing more Christmas carols and answering a few more questions.
The Ryan Seacrest Foundation also managed to bring rapper Ludacris to the hospital last week to spread some good cheer to children being treated for a variety of illnesses.
This wasn't Lil Nas X's first visit to the hospital. He joined Seacrest's mother at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in September and spent some time in the studio with the kids there.
In a video shared earlier this year, Seacrest explained that his mother, father and sister run the foundation which helps 10 children's hospitals across the country.
The foundation builds radio studios inside the hospitals to give the children a fun activity that takes their mind off of their treatment and provides them with useable skills.
Lil Nas X told the foundation that he believes he was propelled into stardom “so that I could help other people who are trying to make their way up, to just inspire the best that I can.”
Both Taylor Swift and producer Zaytoven have visited or donated to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Lil Nas X has been in a giving mood over the past few weeks. He donated $30,000 to college scholarship platform Scholly, hoping to help three students reduce their student loan debt.
"Not too long ago, I was in college racking up student loans," Lil Nas X said in the video announcing the partnership. "I still understand the challenges my fans have when it comes to paying for school."
The rapper's hit song "Old Town Road" was recently named Apple's Song of the Year, and the 20-year-old is up for six Grammys this year.
