Rapper Lil Scrappy tugged at viewers’ heartstrings when he poured his heart out to his mother, Momma Dee, on the most recent episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.
On Monday night, a new episode of the show’s 10th season aired on VH1, and one scene has gone viral due to Lil Scrappy’s transparency.
For the last several years, there has been ongoing tension between his wife, Bambi, and his mother on the show and online. It seemed that the Atlanta native reached his limit with the situation after he shared with his mom how the rift between the two women in his life has truly made him feel.
Scrappy expressed that he would like to see changes in his mother’s and wife’s actions because he’s tired of only hearing them talk about it.
“F**k cameras and all that s**t,” the 38-year-old said. “I just want to say this, you my mama … this is my wife. I don’t have nobody if y’all ain’t with me. I don’t have nobody!”
The “Money in the Bank” rapper shared how he believes his mother’s actions should be more supportive of his relationship with his wife.
“You got to stop,” he continued. “Because you don’t have nobody. That should make you support this even more because you know I want somebody.”

He then revealed that being raised in an alleged “trap house” by his mother still has a negative effect on him in adulthood.
“You know why I’m like how I am with her?” Lil Scrappy asked his mom. “I saw your lifestyle. I grew up in a whorehouse. I grew up in a trap house, so all I knew was that … I love you ’cause you held it down, and like you did what you had to do, but imagine.”
“You never had to sleep with your momma 24/7 ’cause you couldn’t go in your room,” he continued. “You never had to walk in on motherf**kers using dope. You never had to walk in on motherf**kers f**king. The way I was raised, I had to deal with that s**t, cuz. Everything that happened, I had to deal with that. And I’m still dealing with [it] ’cause ain’t nobody come and take me to get no help. I learned about that when I got older.”
Lil Scrappy went on to express how the way he was raised has troubled him throughout his entire life. He even admitted that he feels he has no one to talk to because the women in his life are “hard.” But despite his feelings toward his childhood, he made it clear that he’s thankful for his mother’s sacrifices, which include supporting his rap career, because he wouldn’t be where he is today without her.
This emotional moment had not only his castmates in tears, but the internet as well due to the relatability of how one’s childhood trauma can affect a person mentally and emotionally later in life.
The feedback from viewers has been empathetic, with many sharing similar stories of their own.

This broke me, I couldn’t hold my tears, his pain and suffering is so raw. Mothers, PLEASE, stop for a moment and think what u r doing 2 ur child, I know life is hard and the struggle is real, but what ur child sees and witness last 4 a lifetime.

To me this was the best episode in history of this show. We never seen that side of him. He has always tried to be calm because that’s who he is. I’m proud of him for telling his truth. I fell like it helped him heal.
