While performing at Wireless Festival, rapper Lil Uzi Vert threw a phone into the crowd, allegedly hitting a concertgoer in the head.

Uploading a video and photos of Uzi throwing the phone, the woman confirmed that she was the fan who was allegedly struck in the head and left with a bloody injury.

“So, as some of you guys may know, there is a video of Lil Uzi Vert throwing a phone into the Wireless crowd 2022 on Friday,” she said. “I am sadly that chick that got their head smashed in by the phone. There was someone else, but I don’t really want to mention him in case it is not permitted, but yes, there was some damaged caused. But the guy got his phone back and everything is being dealt with.”

The woman also said there was no way she could have avoided getting hit by the phone, but someone else would have gotten hit instead if she had.

“For those who are asking why I didn’t move out the way, if you have been to Wireless Festival before, you will know how packed the crowd is,” she said. “There is no space to move, and even if there was, I think the reaction time with the phone landing wouldn’t have been enough to actually move out the way in time. And even if I did, it would have hit someone either way. It wouldn’t have hit the floor first – it was head to head.”

The woman updated her followers on the situation, confirming that another concertgoer was also hit by the same phone and that the phone’s owner had retrieved his cell phone, undamaged.

“the other lad the phone also hit is holding up,” she said. “and the dude who had his phone thrown got it back free of damage. Everything is being dealt wit.”

The video, which amassed over 5.2 million views, showed the TikToker with a bloody gash under her blond hair. The video also includes her getting help from security while Lil Uzi continued to perform on stage.

In the original video, someone from the crowd threw a cell phone onto the stage where the rapper was performing. Fortunately, the phone missed the rapper but landed at his feet.

Lil Uzi Vert picked up the phone, threw it out into the crowd and walked away, showing one concertgoer in disbelief. It is unclear if the phone belonged to the fan.

According to XXL, a source close to the artist released a statement saying multiple cell phones were thrown onto the stage and struck him. However, he never intentionally directed it at a specific individual.

“During Uzi’s set at Wireless Fest, fans threw multiple cell phones onto the stage and inadvertently struck him,” the statement read. “He merely attempted to clear the phones from the stage, avoid slipping and safely continue his performance — he never intentionally directed it at a specific individual.”

Wireless Festival also featured J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, Chris Brown, Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, Don Toliver, Trippie Redd and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
