After she reportedly abandoned him in Las Vegas to deal with a dire family matter, Lil Wayne fired his former chef in a flash. Morghan Medlock claims she had to leave her work shift abruptly to be with her hospitalized 10-year-old son.
According to her suit, TMZ reports that Medlock traveled to Nevada on Memorial Day weekend with the rapper. At the time, she had been working for Wayne for about two years. She learned her 10-year-old son had been taken to a Los Angeles hospital with a head injury during the trip.
Medlock said in the lawsuit that Weezy’s smoking caused a flight delay, so she chose to board a different flight rather than wait around. She argues she told Wayne’s assistant about her intentions, but his team kept asking her if she was resigning.
Wayne ultimately sent her a message, reportedly informing her that “this isn’t going to work.”
Medlock insists her dismissal is illegal under California law and requests at least $500,000 in compensation.
However, reports suggest Medlock was fired because she posted videos of her work on social media.
According to The Neighborhood Talk, Medlock’s dismissal was due to concerns over Weezy’s privacy.
Videos of her cooking for Wayne, including what appears to be his favorite sandwich, were embedded in a post from her social media accounts.
She also displayed Wayne’s private jet facilities and detailed her dealings with him in her capacity as his employee.
