Lizzo shared the news of her recent weight gain over the holidays on Instagram with a message of body positivity. The singer, dressed in a brown bodysuit, danced in her bathroom as she participated in the City Girls' "Rodeo" dance challenge on TikTok.

"I gained weight ????????," Lizzo captioned the post on Instagram, adding, "I look TF GOODT."

Several celebrities and influencers gathered in the comments to celebrate the singer, including SZA and Parker Kit Hill.

"I knew there was a reason why this song has been stuck in my head for the past few days.." Kit Hill wrote under the post.

The "Rumors" singer has become known for her outspoken takes on body positivity against those who criticize her or her fans for their size. She's also opened up about some of her own struggles with accepting her body.

According to People, she recently called out some of the people within the online body positive community for "leaving behind" those who the movement was originally "created for and by."

"People are finally celebrating medium and small girls and people who occasionally get rolls," she said in a TikTok video posted in April, and "fat people are still getting the short end of this movement."

"We're still getting s**t on, we're still getting talked about, meme'd, shamed and no one cares anymore because it's like, 'Body positivity is for everybody,'" she continued.

She added that while everyone deserves to "be positive about your body," the people spreading body positivity should be inclusive of everyone.

"Our bodies are none of your f**king business," she said. "Our health is none of your f**king business. All we ask is that you keep that same energy with these medium girls that you praise. Keep the same f**king energy."

"Please use the body positive movement to empower yourself," she wrote in the caption accompanying the video. "But we need to protect and uplift the bodies it was created for and by."
