Lizzo reveals her relationship with Myke Wright is not monogamous and how it taught her to be open to love.

During a recent interview with The Breakfast ClubLizzo said that traditional relationships scare her, but she can love someone forever.

“I think a traditional relationship scares me for 10 years, but love is forever. I can love somebody forever,” Lizzo said. “Monogamy, I think to me, is a little claustrophobic — I think because there’s the rules. I think a love relationship that’s not monogamous has no rules.”

Lizzo revealed that she doesn’t want any rules when it comes down to her relationships. The singer said that her relationship with Wright doesn’t have any expectations.

“I think people who do poly and all that stuff — there’s still rules. I don’t want any rules,” Lizzo said. ” But that doesn’t mean I’m out here fu*king and sucking and ducking. It doesn’t mean he is either. It just means that there are no expectations, and that way, the love gets to just be the main event.”

The singer first confirmed her relationship with Wight during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live. Lizzo said that when you are dating the right person, there will be mutual support.

“If you have the right person, no, not at all, it’s not even a factor,” she said. “It should be mutually supportive no matter what the person does.”

Last month, Lizzo and Wright made their red carpet debut as a couple appeared together for her event for her Amazon Prime show, Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls. She also shared a carousel of photos from the night on her Instagram account, which served as their Instagram debut.
