Lizzo took to Instagram to celebrate herself and reflect on self-love over the weekend. The "Rumors" singer specifically uploaded an 11-second video on Saturday that showed her embracing her nude body, accompanied by the sound of her singing, "If you love me, you love all of me… or none of me at all."
"If you love me… you love all of me. You don't get to pick and choose," Lizzo captioned the video. "We should be unconditionally loving of one another, starting with being unconditionally loving to ourselves. Take a moment today and think about the conditions we hold so tightly to that keep us from the freedom of true love. Do you really wanna be so tightly wound? Free yourself in love. You deserve it."
Shortly after this upload, Lizzo posted a photo showing herself posing nude, simply captioned "Art."
This celebration of self-love also made its way to Twitter, as Lizzo shared the video to her timeline as well.
It's also worth mentioning that these uploads come about a month after Lizzo sent a message of body positivity through another Instagram video. As Blavity previously reported, the "Truth Hurts" singer shared a video of herself dancing to "Rodeo" by City Girls, captioned "I gained weight [and] I look TF GOODT."
While Lizzo is all about embracing herself and advocating for self-love, she is continually receiving hate from online trolls over her stance on the matter. In August—shortly after the release of "Rumors," a song with various references to body positivity—Lizzo shared a tearful Instagram Live where she opened up about feeling "overwhelmed" from haters' attacks against her.
"Sometimes I feel like the world just don't love me back. It's like, it doesn't matter how much positive energy you put into the world. You're still going to have people who have something mean to say about you," Lizzo emotionally stated.
"I'm doing this shit for the big Black women in the future who just want to live their lives without being scrutinized or put into boxes," she later added. "I'm not gonna do what y'all want me to do, ever, so get used to it. But what I will do is make great music and be a great artist and continue to uplift people and uplift myself."
