Lizzo's status as "100% that b***h" has been solidified as she leads the 2020 Grammy Award nominations with more nods than any other artist. 

The singer has a total of eight nominations, according to Variety. 

The “Good As Hell” singer received nods for Record, Album, Song, New Artist, Pop Solo Performance, R&B Performance, Traditional R&B Performance, and Urban Contemporary Album. 

Her album Cuz I Love You, which was released in April, has been a fan favorite since. Her hit song “Truth Hurts” topped the Billboard Top 100 for seven weeks, tying with Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” for the longest Billboard reign for a rap song by a female artist. 

Though the banger was released in 2017, it received prominent recognition this year with Lizzo rising to a new level of fame. 

The femcee also recently won two BET Soul Train Awards for Video of the Year for “Juice” and Album/Mixtape of the Year.


She’s also gotten nods of approval from Beyoncé, Rihanna , Mariah Carey and more big names. 

The “Tempo” singer is one of only 12 artists in Grammys history who have received nominations in each of the Big Four categories — Album, Record, Song and New Artist — in the same year. 

Lil Nas X trails Lizzo with six nominations, including Record of the Year for “Old Town Road” with Billy Ray Cyrus and Album of the Year.  

During her breakout year, Lizzo has achieved a few bucket list items, like being on the cover of British Vogue. She’s also become an integral component of the body positivity movement.

“Let’s just make space for these women. Make space for me. Make space for this generation of artists who are really fearless in self-love. They're out here. They want to be free,” Lizzo said. 

Her success hasn’t been without controversy though. In October, she was accused of plagiarizing "Truth Hurts" most notable lyric from songwriter Justin Raisen as well as British singer Mina Lioness. The songstress is also being sued for defamation by a Postmates delivery driver after publicly accusing them of stealing her food.
