There were several memorable moments for some celebrities this week, while others would prefer to forget the events they faced in recent days. Kenan Thompson is among those who celebrated a major milestone this week. The comedian has now appeared in 1,500 sketches on Saturday Night Live, BuzzFeed reports.

Thompson reached the milestone when he played Gus Van Tant, the host of In Over Your Head, a show for people who fail at trying to complete their own home repairs.

Cardi B gave a rare glimpse at her 6-month-old son, uploading an extreme closeup of her baby’s eye and long eyelashes.

“That’s all y’all will get,” the 29-year-old artist wrote on Twitter.

The “WAP” rapper is also speaking up about the struggles of parenthood.

“Ugh I wish I can take my sweet baby teething pain away. He been sad all day,” she wrote.

Travis Scott went to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal plans he has for his community. The artist, who is being blamed for the fatal stampede that happened at his Astroworld concert in November, said he has been “taking the time and space to grieve, reflect and do my part to heal my community.”

“I want to use my resources and platform moving forward towards actionable change. This will be a lifelong journey for me and my family,” Scott wrote on Instagram.

He then announced his plan, Project HEAL, which aims to make events more safe.

“Giving back and creating opportunities for the youth is something I’ve always done and will continue to do as long as I have the chance,” Scott wrote. “This program will be a catalyst to real change and I can’t wait to introduce the rest of the technology and ideas we’ve been working on.”

Kim Kardashian felt the wrath of social media when she opened her mouth to tell people to get to work.

“I have the best advice for women in business,” Kardashian said in an interview with Variety. “Get your f**king ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days. You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments.”

People wondered why Kardashian thought she could relate to the average person.

While the hip-hop community honored Notorious B.I.G. on the 25th anniversary of his death, Fat Joe shared a throwback picture of the late artist. The classic photo, shared on Instagram, also included Lil’ Kim, Diddy and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony in the ’90s, Hip Hop DX reports.

“Fun fact i got a call from BIG and he said joe i need your boys BONE on a song,” Joe wrote on Instagram. “I said say no more BONE N BIGGIE BONE N BIGGIE. I love you BIG we will never forget you 25 years later we will never forget THE KING OF NY.”

Jussie Smollett was sentenced to 150 days in jail on Thursday for staging a hate crime against himself, the Associated Press reports. Smollett’s story gained national attention after he reported a hate crime to police, saying he was beat up by two men in ski masks who hurled racial and homophobic slurs at him on a dark Chicago street.

The actor continued to maintain his innocence in front of the judge.

“If I did this, then it means that I stuck my fist in the fears of Black Americans in this country for over 400 years and the fears of the LGBT community,” he said. “Your Honor, I respect you and I respect the jury, but I did not do this. And I am not suicidal. And if anything happens to me when I go in there, I did not do it to myself. And you must all know that.”

Black Panther director Ryan Coogler faced a terrifying incident when he was detained after being mistaken as a robber at a Bank of America in Atlanta, Variety reports.

Wearing a hat, sunglasses and a face mask, Coogler handed the bank teller a withdrawal slip with a note written on the back.

“I would like to withdraw $12,000 cash from my checking account. Please do the money count somewhere else. I’d like to be discreet,” he wrote in the note.

As they became suspicious about the transaction, the teller and her boss called police, who handcuffed the director briefly before letting him go.

“This situation should never have happened,” the director told Variety. “However, Bank of America worked with me and addressed it to my satisfaction and we have moved on.”

Twitter users took some time to look at LL Cool J’s wildest video moments.

Another social media user sparked some fun on Twitter this week, asking people to pick two comedians they would call for help if they were being roasted.

Zoë Kravitz sat down for an interview with The Observer and opened up about her attempt to audition for a role in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises. Kravitz said initially she was told that she was too “urban” for a part in the movie and was denied the opportunity.

“I don’t know if it came directly from Chris Nolan,” the actress said. “I think it was probably a casting director of some kind, or a casting director’s assistant … Being a woman of color and being an actor and being told at that time that I wasn’t able to read because of the color of my skin, and the word urban being thrown around like that, that was what was really hard about that moment.”

Kravitz later issued a statement on her Instagram story to clarify her comment, Variety reports. The actress said she was not trying to audition for Catwoman as some outlets were reporting, but was hoping for a small role in the film.

“I did not mention this to point any fingers or make anyone seem racist, namely Chris Nolan, the film’s producers or anyone on the casting team because I truly do not believe anyone meant any harm,” she said. “I was simply giving an example of what it was like to be a woman of color in  this industry at that time.”
