Two sanitation workers in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, helped police find a missing 10-year-old girl on Monday after an Amber Alert was issued for her, according to The Advocate.

The New Iberia Police Department arrested 33-year-old Michael R. Sereal, a registered sex offender, after Dion Merrick and another sanitation worker said they saw him in a gray car in a field with the 10-year-old. Sereal has a 2006 carnal knowledge of a juvenile conviction on his record, according to The Advocate.

Merrick shared a video of the arrest on Facebook.

"I had just seen this gray car parked in the field. That was the dude who had that little 10-year-old. I just saved that little girl's life, bruh. Thank God. They got him, now," Merrick said.

"People that see stuff and don't want to say anything — look. The car's right there. The little girl's safe right now. She's safe right now. Thank God. I have a little girl," Merrick added.

An Amber Alert was issued Sunday night after the 10-year-old went missing and some said they saw her get into a gray 2012 Nissan Altima with Sereal. The alert said the girl was at a family member's house when she was taken.

Merrick's video shows Sereal yelling at police as he’s arrested.

Local police thanked Merrick and his co-worker for calling them.

Local news outlet WGNO later identified the 10-year-old as Jalisa Lassalle. Sereal was arrested on the charge of aggravated kidnapping.
