Lupita Nyong’o is set to lead the next film in the A Quiet Place franchise.
The Oscar winner is now in final discussions to star in Paramount’s A Quiet Place: Day One. Pig filmmaker Michael Sarnoski is set to direct.
The movie is a spinoff of Paramount's 'A Quiet Place,' which John Krasinski directed and starred in and which was an unexpected smash in 2018.
The first Emily Blunt, Millicent SiOn a $17 million budget, the movie made $340 million. The Krasinski-directed A Quiet Place: Part 2 took in $297.3 million.
Sarnoski, whose profile has risen after his 2021 film Pig which starred Nicholas Cage, made waves, will reportedly direct the horror feature that comes from an original idea from Krasinski.
Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce through Platinum Dunes.
Through his Sunday Night brand, Krasinski will produce with executive producing partner Allyson Seeger. Along with this offshoot, a third film of the main A Quiet Place series is planned for 2025.
Lupita Nyong’o is currently starring in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever which comes out in theaters on November 11.
