On April 20, the Bob Marley Movie will be available to watch on Facebook! In addition to the film's release in Theatres and On Demand, we have chosen Save the Children, a global nonprofit, to benefit from the Facebook rental.

I've never actually rented a movie on Facebook and so couldn't even tell you how to do that without performing a Google search first. I believe you go to the film's official Facebook page (whatever film you're interested in) and click a "rent" icon to apply Facebook Credits. The cost per rental is 30 Facebook Credits, or $3. And you have 48 hours from the purchase to watch the movie, which can be viewed full screen and also paused and resumed within that period.

Anyone used the service yet? And if so, reactions?

But as you can see from the top of this post, Magnolia Pictures will release Academy Award-winner Kevin Macdonald's Bob Marley documentary Marley, on FridayApril 20th, launching day and date on all VOD and digital platforms, including Facebook, with the proceeds going to Save The Children.

So if you don't have access to any of the other VOD formats the film will be available in, you know you can always watch it on Facebook, since most of you likely have Facebook accounts at least.

Described as the definitive documentary about legendary musician, from his earliest days, to his rise to international superstardom, the film made its world premiere at the Berlinale, as one of five films selected for the Berlinale Special.

Marley is executive produced by Bob Marley's son Ziggy Marley and Island Records founder Chris Blackwell.
