A man who goes by Xavier Raza is setting the record straight and clarifying that he was not in bed with Bobby Shmurda.

It all began last week after Bobby Shmurda shared an Instagram video of himself lying in bed with two people, who were both hiding their faces.

Raza proceeded to reshare this video on his Facebook and alleged that he was one of the people who the “Hot N***a” rapper was cuddling with.

“I’m mad shy but Bobby loves me,” Raza captioned the video in question.

Raza’s comment about the video swiftly began spreading like wildfire on social media, with many speculating that Bobby Shmurda may have been “outed” in a way similar to Isaiah Rashad.

“Bobby Shmurda livin his best life since he got outta prison,” one Twitter user quipped.

Eventually, Raza addressed his claim and revealed that it was a “harmless joke” that simply got out of hand.

“I’m still trying to wrap my head around all of this.. but I wanted to address everything that’s going on right now. I owe everybody an explanation but most importantly I owe an apology to Bobby Shmurda and his fans,” Xavier Raza began.

“I’m sorry for everything that’s going on and confusion I have caused anyone this past weekend. That was NOT me in the video,” he clarified. “What was meant to be a harmless joke, shook the internet. I never thought my post would go viral and it was never my intention to mislead anyone.”

Raza continued, alleging that he’s received death threats for suggesting that he was in bed with Bobby Shmurda.

“I have been receiving death threats and keep seeing my name attached to headlines that are far from the truth.. I have been hesitant to speak out, but I wanted to clear my name and put an end to this rumor,” he noted.

“Although I have realized that no matter what I say or do they’re always going to be people that will not believe my intentions or think that I’m lying. I know what it’s like to be bullied for being gay, I would never want to put that on anyone else.. Anyone who knows me understands I was not doing this for clout and would never want to ‘expose’ or hurt anyone,” Raza wrote.

In the caption, Raza added, “I’m sorry.”

We should add that, while Bobby Shmurda doesn’t appear to have explicitly addressed the matter, he seems to have laughed it off by uploading a similar video of him cuddling in bed with a couple of faceless peeps.
