A 59-year-old man was arrested, for approaching three teenage girls at a Chicago candy store and lecturing them about Nazism and warning them against interracial marriage, reported CBS Chicago.
The man approached the girls, aged 12-to-14, to discuss “Adolf Hitler, Nazis, and not marrying outside your race,” said a statement by Riverside Chief of Police Thomas Weitzel.
Additionally, he told them to “study history because Adolf Hitler was not an evil person."
Things got especially creepy, when he offered them candy. The girls refused and took his picture to show their parents. Their parents alerted the police. The police recognized the man and arrested him on three misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct.
The man fully admitted to approaching the girls, but Weitzel said the man "did not see anything wrong with it and did not believe it was strange or unlawful.”
Thankfully, the girls weren't hurt in any way, and the man didn't make any physical contact with them.
“I have nothing but high praise for these three girls who had the common sense to use their cell phones to take a picture of the individual who was bothering them,” said Weitzel.
