XLrator Media, Parkside Pictures and Tadross Media Group have inked an agreement that will see them collaborate on a multi-film production slate that they will produce and distribute worldwide.

The first project announced in an action-thriller titled "IF," which Mario Van Peebles will direct from his own script.

No details on plot yet; but production is set to start in the fall, so I’m sure we’ll know more by then.

“Following our collaboration with Parkside on "Pandemic" from New Artists Alliance and "Paradox" and "The Last Heist" from Benattar/Thomas, we saw an opportunity to expand our partnership with Parkside to develop, finance, produce and globally distribute even more high-quality, efficiently budgeted genre films for the burgeoning worldwide multi-platform universe,” said XLrator Media CEO Barry Gordon. “This new pact provides an exciting turn-key finance and global distribution platform for seasoned genre filmmakers and for emerging new talent from around the globe.”

Gordon, Roth and Tucci announced the deal on Monday alongside Tadross Media Group president Michael Tadross Jr.

Mario Van Peebles is actually quite busy behind the camera, which may not be widely-known. In recent years, he’s directed a lot of TV series, including "Empire," "Chicago P.D.," "The Last Ship," and several more. On the big screen, he’s currently filming the war movie "USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage." His recent feature film directing work, includes the 50 Cent drama "All Things Fall Apart," "We the Party," and more.
