Marlon Wayans posed for a photoshoot with a Pride flag as he continues to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. Wayans, who posted the photo on his Instagram page, said he did the photoshoot to show love to his son and other LGBTQ+ people during Pride Month.

“Happy PRIDE to all my LGBTQ+ peoples,” the Hollywood star wrote on Instagram. “Did a photo shoot with the great photographer @parrish_lewis dope pic….P.S. I’m STRAIGHT… well, according to my child CISGENDER male. I just love and support my peoples.”

After seeing hateful comments from some people on his page, Wayans continued to post a series of photos. One of his posts included a lengthy caption in which he reiterated that he is “a father of a child in the LGBTQ+ community” and he gives “zero f**ks what people think.”

“Your hateful ass never loved me in the first place. How can you love anyone when you’re too busy judging. Some of y’all funny. I’m a troll. I’ll post all day,” Wayans told the haters. “HAPPY PRIDE to all my friends, fam, fans and loved ones. I am happy you’re happy… period.”

“You mad?! 😡 I can do this shit ALL DAY… but instead I think I’ll do it ALL MONTH.
HAPPY PRIDE 🌈💕,” Wayans wrote. “Love and Laughter will always drown hate.”

As Blavity previously reported, Wayans recently sat down for an interview with People and spoke about how he felt when he first learned that his oldest child, Kai, is transgender.

“It took me all of a week, and in that week I grew the most that I ever did in my life,” Wayans told People. “You understand the purpose of kids and the beauty of unconditional love. At the end of the day, in my heart, only thing that matters to me is that my child is happy.”

Wayans, who first opened up about Kai’s transition when he appeared on The Breakfast Club in 2023, said he is using his platform as an actor and comedian “to gift not just laughter but some lessons.”

“I want my kids to be free. I want them to be free in spirit, free in thought, free to be themselves,” Wayans said on The Breakfast Club, as Blavity previously reported. “The more you know yourself, the more you can govern yourself, the more you live your truth, the happier your existence. So, if they can’t get that in the household with their father and their mother, how the f**k do I send them out into the world with that kind of confidence?”
