There are a great number of black girls in the industry killing the game with their black girl magic and such. So it comes as no surprise when they start confusing folks and combining titles when our people and works of art start to gain popularity across the board (remember Hidden Fences during awards season? ugh.)

12-year-old actress Marsai Martin, better known as Diane on black-ish, is dealing with the nonsense already. In an interview with Vulture, she admitted that she was initially excited to be recognized by a fan until they had mistaken her for Jessie actress, Skai Jackson! "That made me realize I want people to know me as who I am. I don’t want people to call me Marsie or Marshay. 'Cause I don’t really know who the heck that is. That’s not me. I’m not turning around to take a picture with you. But I want people to know me, and see me, for who I am and not for black-ish or anything like that. That’s what makes me want to be a legend." When asked what a legend meant to her, she simply responded with, "a legend to me in a powerful woman. Gladys Knight. Diana Ross, my TV-mother's mother." Go head, lil mama!

But instead of creating a rift between Marsai and Skai, what do they do? Combine their powers and create what seems to be the birth of a comedic girl squad. If you're a fan of Marsai's, I'm sure you've seen videos of her when she was younger especially the infamous 'Love On Top' video when she was just 6, struggling like most of us to hit those key changes. And let's not forget about Ms. Jackson. The soon to be 15-year-old has been doing the damn thing in her back-to-back Disney roles, inspiring new Marvel comic superheroes, red carpet looks and shutting down any hater that has something to say. I'm sure we were all present when she single-handedly ethered Azaelia Banks, reminding her that her meme was more relevant than she'll ever be.

These two young comedic geniuses along with rapper Baby Kaely released this skit on social media yesterday and we have a strong feeling that this is just the beginning. Check it out below.
