Maya Rudolph has joined fellow “Saturday Night Live” alumni Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, in the comedy feature “The Nest,” which is set up at Universal.
Jason Moore is directing “The Nest” from a script penned by “SNL” and “30 Rock” scribe Paula Pell. It tells the story of two disconnected sisters cleaning out their parents’ family home who throw one last party, inviting their now-grown former high school classmates.
Jay Roach is producing alongside Fey, with Poehler exec producing.
Rudolph has signed up to play a childhood friend of the sisters.
Production begins this month in New York for a December 18, 2015 release.
Rudolph was last seen on the small screen in her own variety show on NBC.
