If you’ve been working at the office after hours with your team or laying in bed with that seasonal cold you can’t quite beat, chances are you’ve used a food delivery service. Outside of the traditional restaurants that have always had delivery drivers to bring your favorite foods to you, now companies like UberEATS have made it their business to bring even more restaurants and options to you at your convenience. And McDonald’s is adding itself to that long list of places that now work with the brand.

Initially, the McDelivery service launched in Los Angeles, Chicago, Phoenix and Columbus, and in total there are more than 1,000 new restaurants that will be partaking in the McDelivery option. In January, the brand tested out the option in more than 200 restaurants in cities in Florida including Miami, Orlando and Tampa Bay. Because those initial stores were such a success for consumers, more and more cities are getting in on it. Most recently, the service expanded to stores in Seattle, Dallas, Houston, New York and Washington, D.C.

So if you’re craving a southwest grilled chicken salad at work one afternoon or a McCafé Frappé to get you to be fully awake in the morning, now you don’t have to interrupt your schedule or waste your gas money to make that happen.

And in the next few months, even more cities will have access to McDelivery.

The benefits of using ride-sharing apps like Uber and Lyft are that users can really do things on their terms. There’s no need to call a cab, wait out in the rain or guess at how much your transportation fees will be. And that same convenience, confidence and certainty comes along with UberEATS. Gone are the days of driving all over town or hoping your favorite restaurants have a delivery car.

“We are bringing a new level of convenience to more of our customers as we continue to transform the McDonald’s experience,” said McDonald’s President and CEO Steve Easterbrook.

In other countries, delivery is nothing new for McDonald’s. They’ve seen almost one billion dollars in delivery sales, including in places in Asia and the Middle East. But this year the American market is changing the game for the company and tuning into the technological advances that this generation has grown to love and utilize instead of hanging on to more traditional models of work.

So, have you ordered a fruit and yogurt parfait from McDelivery via UberEATS yet?
