After nine years of marriage, Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin are splitting. The Harlem star and her husband announced their decision in a statement, saying this is the best move for both of them.
"After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected," the couple said, according to People. "We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There's no one at fault, we believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love."
The 40-year-old Hollywood star and her 43-year-old partner said they are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years they have spent together as husband and wife.
"We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other," they added.
Earlier this year, the couple expressed their love for each other while celebrating their ninth year of marriage.
"To the love of my life, my husband, purpose partner, happy anniversary!!" Good wrote on Instagram. "This makes #9 and eternity you go! You are the best decision I've ever made (besides loving Jesus lol). I love you with everything inside me. In this life and in the next."
The 43-year-old preacher and author shared lyrics from the R&B group Tony! Toni! Toné! while expressing his love for his wife during their anniversary.
The couple's decision to divorce has shocked several fans who assumed the two would stay together for much longer.

The couple touched on various aspects of their relationships, including their decision not to have sex until marriage, which they said was key to having a successful journey together.
