Meek Mill is hoping to bring a few smiles to children in North Philadelphia. 

The Grammy nominee is delivering gifts to many families in Philadelphia, and he's donating $30,000 to Twelve Days of Christmas, a volunteer group that is buying toys and gifts for 30 families. 

“It’s been a tough year for all of us, but through all the ups and downs, I’ll always do my part to support and give back to the Philly community that raised me,” he said. 

“I remember not having much growing up, so it’s important to use my platform to give back, especially to the families trying to provide for their kids while also dealing with the criminal justice system,” he added. 

Meek Mill will be donating gifts to children affected by the criminal justice system, according to Fox29.

Anthony Morse has five children and told Fox 29 that he had received an Xbox Series X, Puma clothing, iPads and more.

Meek Mill even FaceTimed the family. While the children were shocked to see the rapper on the screen, their father was eager to speak to the rapper to thank him for his generosity. 

The rapper shared a video of the children opening their presents on his Twitter page. 

Morse fosters many children in addition to caring for his own and he choked up while speaking about his gratitude. 

With the $30,000 donation, the Philadelphia chapter of Twelve Days of Christmas plans to buy Christmas gifts for families with children in Meek Mill's old school, James G. Blaine Elementary School.

Gift donations will also be made to students at William D. Kelley School and Paul Robeson High School.

Many stars are doing what they can to spread Christmas cheer after a challenging year. Actor Indya Moore recently spoke about their new gift program called TransSanta, as Blavity previously reported.
