nullRainey can be seen in upcoming seasons of "Power" as Tariq, son of crime kingpin Ghost St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick), and "Orange is the New Black" as the son of trans inmate Sophia, played by Laverne Cox.

Now we’ve learned that the young actor will join the third installment of Ice Cube’s "Barbershop" franchise, playing the role of Cube’s son.

Indie film fans will remember Rainey from the 2012 Sundance drama "LUV," where he starred opposite Common as a boy who grows up fast when he spends the day with his ex-convict uncle.

He’ll rejoin his old co-star in the new sequel, as Common’s involvement in "Barbershop 3" was confirmed earlier this week

Rainey hinted at the casting news via his Instagram page days ago, saying that he’d have to hold off on cutting his hair because of a new project:

Congrats to Rainey, who’s quickly becoming Hollywood’s favorite son.
