Michael Rapaport is now aware he’s not a favorite with the Wendy Williams audience.

According to OK!, fans on social media didn’t love seeing Rapaport take over the pink chair while Williams is still gone for health reasons. The fans not only wanted Rapaport gone, but they wanted former guest host Sherri Shepherd to return.

“Bring back Sherri!!!!!,” wrote one commenter according to OK!, and another wrote for Wendy to come back “and save the show…or Sherri…How you doin.” Another wrote how it was “tough to watch” Rapaport host the show. A commenter also exclaimed, “Y’all can’t go from Sherri to this.”

Even Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard also commented on Rapaport, saying, "This melty faced dingleberry. @MichaelRapaport make sure you practice in the mirror."

Rapaport responded during the Hot Topics portion of his Tuesday episode, saying, “My first instinct was the punch back, but I’m going to take the high road–congratulations on your low budget album Deep Space that just came out, and shoutout to the one person who downloaded it…Candiace, you have the same career trajectory as the “catch me outside” girl [Bhad Bhabie]. Good luck with the music career.

Williams has been gone from her show since September after checking into a New York hospital for her mental health.

She was also reported as having had a breakthrough case of COVID-19. Her ratings have also risen during her absence, which could be a culmination of audiences beginning to love Williams’ increasingly meaner tone during her Hot Topics segments before her health issues arose.
