nullMike Tyson is reportedly in talks to star as an axe murderer in Werner Herzog’s adaptation of author DBC Pierre’s booker prize winning novel “Vernon God Little.”

Tyson would be joining Pamela Anderson and Russell Brand in a project with a synopsis that reads:

Vernon Little is fifteen years old and lives with his mother in
Martirio, a flea-bitten Texan town. His best friend just massacred
sixteen of their classmates before killing himself. The town wants
vengeance and turns its sights on Vernon.

Austin Abrams has been cast in the title role opposite Sasha Pieterse.

Herzog will direct from a script adaptation written by Andrew Birkin (“Perfume”).

Today’s casting news comes following HBO’s passing on what was to be a drama series loosely based on his boxing youth (‘Da Brick’ directed by Spike Lee, starring John Boyega), and, most recently, reports that the former boxing champ is developing a film on his early years in the ring, through
his meteoric rise to the king of the boxing world, which he and his
wife, Lakiha Spicer, will produce.

Tyson is said to be looking to cast an unknown to play him in the film, but he and wife Spicer say that they can see Kevin Spacey portraying his mentor and trainer, Cus D’Amato, and Helen Mirren as his adoptive mother, Camille Ewald… this is all according to the New York Post
These screen projects come on the heels of Tyson’s Broadway one-man show, “Undisputed Truth,” which was also directed by Spike Lee, which HBO later broadcast.
