A missing 14-year-old girl from Georgia has been found safe after a Texas man was arrested in connection with her disappearance reports WSB-TV.

According to DeKalb County Police, Kyla Flagg disappeared from her home located in Snellville around May 15. The teen was last seen in DeKalb County.

Initially authorities believed the teen had run away. The DeKalb County Police Department tweeted an alert on May 17.

“Please help us find Kyla Flagg, 14, who was reported as a runaway," the tweet read. "She was last seen on 5/15 at her father’s home on Nolan Trl. Kyla is 5’6, 110 lbs. & wore a white shirt with black joggers…”

Last week, authorities arrested Robert David Fyke, 33, in Lubbock, Texas in connection with Flagg’s disappearance. Investigators found that in May, Fyke picked Flagg up from her parents’ home and drove her from Georgia to Texas, Atlanta's ABC affiliate station reported

The 33-year-old man told authorities that he and Flagg had been communicating through social media for over a month. Initially, he told investigators that he believed the teen was 19. He then admitted that he knew she was only 14 during a polygraph interview, Lubbock's NBC Affiliate station reported.

Court documents show Fkye told authorities that the teen left him around June 11 for another man named “Wayne” who he claims she met on a dating app. Fkye said the teen was probably located in either Pennsylvania or Connecticut.

After the polygraph interview concluded Fyke agreed to call the teen. He was able to verify to the police that Flagg was safe.

Fkye faces sexual assault and child pornography charges. While the case is pending, a judge has ordered that he remain in custody.

At this time authorities have not revealed the teen’s whereabouts. Police are coordinating with other agencies to ensure Flagg returns safely to Georgia.
