Ballerina Misty Copeland has been one of the biggest names in recent times. She is the true epitome of the phrase "representation matters." For black ballerinas everywhere, Copeland has been a constant source of inspiration with her success. To be in her presence must be something dreams are made of. The Mayfair Performance Company probably know that firsthand.
The group of black ballerinas, hailing from Chicago's south side, received the surprise of the lifetime when the principal ballerina joined them on "The Steve Harvey Show". Harvey dropped some subtle hints, saying that if they worked hard enough, they would one day meet their idol. Then, it happened — with tears, hugs and feels in abundance.
