Fans have been happy for the reconciliation.
One commenter wrote, according to Atlanta Black Star, “This is beautiful. ‘Cuz baby.. I didn’t think we was gonna get here.” Another wrote, “Great example of reconnecting through the power of forgiveness and its redemptive power it can bring into our lives.”
The feud between Mo'Nique and Daniels has been ongoing since 2009, when the two last worked together on the Oscar-winning film 'Precious.'
Until last year, Mo’Nique had accused Daniels of blacklisting her in the industry, as well as being part of a cabal with Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Will Packer and various others to keep her blocked out of Hollywood.
Mo'Nique has also recently ended her feud with Netflix, settling her discrimination lawsuit regarding her claim that the streamer lowballed her in a comedy deal in 2017.
The judge sided with Mo’Nique, saying in their opinion, “At the very least, Mo’Nique’s allegations permit the plausible inference that, had she not challenged her offer as discriminatory, Netflix would have continued negotiating in good faith with her and increased her offer, consistent with its customary practice in dealing with talent in the entertainment industry.”
