If you can't get enough of Moonlight, no worries. We have a little surprise for you.

On Thursday, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater released their latest project, Moonlight x Ailey, a short damn film choreography by the company's very own Robert Battle. The short film had the blue lighting and soundtrack that feels so very familiar from Barry Jenkins' masterpiece. If you're a fan, you'll feel like you're watching the film again for the first time.

Choreographer Robert Battle, Barry Jenkins and Tarell Alvin McCraney (on whose autobiographical play the movie is based on) are all natives of Miami's Liberty City, where the film is set. It's great to see them all bringing life to such a beautiful and necessary story.

The poetical dance experience came to life through Alvin Ailey's Jamar Roberts and Ailey School students Christopher Taylor and Jeremy T. Vilas. The company is currently on the road.
