In yesterday’s post on Michael K. Williams, the actor made mention of being cast in Snitch, the new thriller starring Dwayne Johnson and Susan Sarandon.
Although some outlets seem to have glossed over Williams’ announcement, today news “broke” that Sarandon is indeed in talks to co-star alongside “The Rock” in the film.
We haven’t received many details on the project since Johnson was first attached to it back in March, but as a refresher, Johnson will star as a suburban father who is hit hard when his teenage son is sentenced to 30 years under mandatory minimum drug laws. In order to reduce his son’s sentence, the father goes undercover to serve up a senior drug dealer.
Ric Roman Waugh is writing and directing for Exclusive Media.
Sarandon is set to play an ambitious U.S. attorney who believes that a drug bust can help her political career, apparently in a role that was altered from male to female for her.
Williams hasn’t yet revealed the specifics about his character in the film. Any guesses?
