Yesterday, Morgan Freeman was said to be in talks to join the cast of Last Vegas, the dramedy centered on four old friends who reunite in Sin City for one last big bash at the bachelor party of the only one who has managed to stay single.

Freeman would be joining a cast that already includes Michael Douglas and Robert De Niro, to be directed by Jon Turtletaub.

This afternoon, Freeman is confirmed to join his fellow Oscar winners in Las Vegas; and further, we now know what role he'll play.

Per the press release, Freeman is set to play Archie Clay, an army veteran, who looks to escape the watchful eyes of his son and daughter-in-law and accompany his best friends on a trip to Vegas.

As I said previously, I'm sure comparisons to The Hangover are inevitable.
