The Francophone Fund for Audiovisual Productions has announced the 6 projects (out of 13) selected to receive financial support for their production or completion. 4 of the 6 projects hail from 2 North African countries – Morocco and Tunisia.
Moroccan director Abdelhai Laraki’s fiction series Coupé de l’arbre will receive €50,000 ($65,000), while Tunisian director Faten Jazir’s fiction series Ahla denya has been allocated €40,000 ($52,000).
As for documentary projects, Moroccan director Hicham Elladdaq’s La route du pain will receive €12,000 ($15,600).
And finally, Moroccan director Youssef Ait Mansour’s In the Name of the Brother, will receive €4,000 ($5200) for its completion.
The Francophone Fund’s commission will hold its next session in Paris in November 2013, where it will review all projects submitted between July 1 and 15. For more information on submitting your project for consideration, click HERE.
