Last fall, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. announced that Kevin Tancharoen had signed on to direct a new big-screen, live-action adaptation of Mortal Kombat. This came after the success of the live-action web series Tancharoen created, which starred Michael Jai White as Jax for a few episodes, and which we featured on this site in its entirety.

But before that big screen adaptation happens, you should know that, over the weekend, director Tancharoen announced that a second season of the web series based on the popular game, had been ordered and was on the way.

He revealed this in a video, which you can watch below; in it, he also reveals what season 2 will comprise of, and what characters will be in it. I can tell you that Jax will be back; although he doesn't say whether Michael Jai White (or any of the cast from season 1) will return to play the roles they played in the first season.
