Steve Harvey's self-help book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man: What Men Really Think About Love, Relationships, Intimacy, and Commitment was the talk of town when it was first released in 2009.

The book doles out some pretty interesting advice on maintaining romantic relationships with male partners; whether the advice is beneficial or not can be left up to the imagination. But Steve isn’t the only Harvey who can contribute to the conversation on relationship advice.

Lori Harvey, the author’s daughter, has made headlines in recent years for her dating life, and truthfully, she might be better equipped to put us on to some game. Maybe her admirable dating roster is the fruit of her pops' labor — maybe she's a dating guru in her own lane. Either way, Lori has been romantically linked to a myriad of men including Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Christian Combs, Future, Trey Songz and most recently, thee Michael B. Jordan.

The socialite is, quite frankly, living the life that many of us dream about. Collecting boys like infinity stones and minding her business. While "pick me" Twitter may be up in arms about the Gen Z-er’s ability to move on so quickly, prioritizing herself over societal norms and expectations, she’s teaching a valuable lesson.

Oftentimes, it’s quietly demanded that we become so tolerable to the point of staying in relationships that don’t suit us. With her seeming autonomy, Lori has been showing us that there’s power in exercising sovereignty in relationships despite the invisible blueprint that society tells us to follow to appease external opinions. She's also proving you can have fun while doing so.

While many of us still aspire to have a dating life that would make The City Girls proud, Lori is out here doing it. Jet-setting across the world with some of the handsome and wealthy, allowing them to be supporting actors in her production. The Hot Girl Goddesses have spoken and it’s been made abundantly clear that Miss Harvey is a star among them. I stan a queen who embodies what it means to have fun while dating, but there’s also something to be said about her ability to keep her dating life on the hush and let the blogs do much of the talking.

The most inspiring part about witnessing Lori’s dating life, from the outside looking in, is that she rarely if ever offers up any commentary. When she subtly posted photos to her Instagram account of her and Jordan snuggled up, social media exploded with think pieces and comments ranging from praise to pure jealousy. She’s yet to make a statement and we can all learn something from this. There’s power in letting the world offer up unsolicited opinions while you move in your truth.

Hoteps and sheer haters alike are shook by Harvey's audacity to date freely in her twenties and live her best life. Shame on her for not allowing herself to be tied down to one person in hopes of preserving some faux sense of respectability that has caused many people to stay in toxic relationships and become embittered. It’s refreshing to see someone love herself so much and acknowledge her value by choosing to do what she wants when she wants, and on her own terms. This confidence and self-worth is proof that you can choose yourself, have fun and live the romantic life that you want.

In short, it's been a privilege to have had the free game she has inadvertently offered but I need a book, TED Talk or a Masterclass because — sorry, Steve — I want to think like Lori.
