Nev Schulman, host and executive producer of Catfish, is facing sexual misconduct allegations. MTV has reportedly suspended production on the show, and an investigation is underway, according to The Daily Beast

A woman named Ayissha Morgan, who appeared on the show in 2015, posted a YouTube video on May 12 alleging she was sexually harassed by Schulman during the show's production. In the video, Morgan uses the pseudonym "Jack" to refer to the "main person" of the show, claiming "Jack" consistently asked her to go on dates with him. She also claimed he continually asked her about her sexual orientation and allegedly questioned her sexuality after she told him she identifies as a lesbian.

Morgan made more claims in another video about her interactions with Schulman and alleged a female production assistant took advantage of her after they'd been drinking. She also claimed Schulman invited her to his hotel room one night where he allegedly grabbed her arm as he lay on the bed.

Schulman has denied Morgan's claims. His publicist sent the following statement to The Daily Beast:

"The behavior described in this video did not happen, and I'm fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth,” Schulman said. “I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions—but these claims are false.”

MTV told Vanity Fair that the network takes the allegations "very seriously."

"We’re working with Critical Content, our third-party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation,” the network said.
