"Straight Outta Compton" promotional ArtIn the video below, N.W.A members salute their their late comrade Eazy-E, in a behind-the-scenes featurette for Universal Pictures’ upcoming N.W.A. biopic, "Straight Outta Compton." In it, Fab Five Freddy talks with the original members of N.W.A about the legacy of Eazy-E and his impact on the group’s success.

The film is directed by F. Gary Gray, with O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell starring as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, respectively. Meanwhile, Aldis Hodge plays MC Ren, and Neil Brown Jr. is DJ Yella in the N.W.A biopic titled "Straight Outta Compton."

Carra Patterson and Paul Giamatti are also in the cast, playing Tomica Woods, Eazy-E’s widow (who inherited his share of N.W.A. song rights, and is also a producer on the film), and Jerry Heller, manager of the group.

Keith Stanfield plays Snoop Dogg. 

Will Packer serves as executive producer of the film, alongside Gray. 

The upcoming film, which follows the group as they emerge from the streets of Compton, California in the mid-1980s, to go onto revolutionize pop culture with their music, is set for a release in August, 14 2015.
