Film and television producer Naketha Mattocks has been named VP of Original Movies at Disney Channels, we’ve learned. In her new post, Mattocks will work with writers and directors to create and develop new material for the franchise, which has produced TV’s No. 1 movie in tweens 9-14 for the past 11 years.

Before Disney, Mattocks worked independently to develop projects for ABC Family, CBS Films, Lifetime and VH1. She also oversaw development at Larger Than Life Productions and Paramount Pictures.
