Naomi Campbell can add being a mommy to her list of duties. The supermodel debuted her 9-month-old daughter on the latest British Vogue cover. Though, she's not sharing too much information just yet, as she plans to share more details in her upcoming memoir.

“She’s a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries and I’m told she’s very alert for her age. She’s just started waving, which is fun. She laughs a lot. She’s almost talking,” she said of her daughter while also confirming that she wasn't adopted, Vogue reports. “I think she might walk before she crawls. And she’s got six teeth already.”

Campbell announced her transition into motherhood in May 2021 by posting a photo of her baby's feet posed between her hands. But she told the magazine she was very private in regard to her journey to welcome her first child.

“I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her,” she said. “But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”

“She loves the light. She’s inquisitive. She was looking at everyone — she looks at people right in the eye and for a very long time. She was taking it all in," she added.

Now that she's almost a year into her new life role, the model describes the feeling as "the biggest joy I could ever imagine."

“I always knew that one day I would be a mother," she said. "I’m lucky to have her and I know that.”

She goes on, saying that her daughter has transformed her into a child again as she experiences developmental milestones with her baby.

“I’m like a kid again. I’m reliving nursery rhymes, playing and discovering how many great new toys there are out there in the world! And dolls! Things I couldn’t even dream of," she said. “My daughter comes first. Everything I do, I do for her — that’s it. It’s so completely selfless, isn’t it?”

When she's not raising a new baby, Campbell is busy maintaining her status as one of the most respected supermodels in history as she continues to strut runways and lead photoshoots. Though, she has a new attitude about her job since she's become more aware of her age in comparison to other models taking over runway stages now.

“I still enjoy it but it’s nerve-racking! Because I’m 51 years old walking with girls who are 18!” she told the outlet. “It’s great to be with these young ’uns at my age, but I have to say, at one of the shows I was like, ‘Come on, girls! Pick up your feet! Why are you walking so slow?’ I definitely feel like my time was more joyful. We smiled. We got to show off our personalities.”

She may still have been the main attraction of this season as she walked for Versace, Alexander McQueen, Balmain and Lanvin in Paris, Milan and London, but she looks back on her time working with friends Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington with more fondness.

“It was an incredible time,” she recalled. “but we worked hard. And no matter how many outfit changes, how many shows, we never said we were tired. We all loved it and we kept each other’s energy up. We did eight shows a day and then we would go and celebrate with the designers in the evening. I wonder sometimes if models now could have kept up with us.”
