Managing to keep herself busy, in the face of recent claims of the lack of employment in the UK for black British actors, Naomie Harris is attached to star in the French production of a drama titled A Green And Quiet River, alongside Peter Sarsgaard, Ciaran Hinds, and others, with Alain Choquart directing, his feature film debut.

The film is based on the literary work of French author Hubert Mingarelli, whom I’m not at all familiar with.

A pitch for the project was apparently made earlier this year at the Berlinale.

Harris will play a character named Estelle, though I have no information on what Estelle’s story is, and where she fits in the whole thing… at least not yet. Once I know, you’ll know.

Fresh off her success in The First Grader, Harris recently signed on to play Moneypenny in the next installment of the James Bond franchise, which stars Daniel Craig as the titular character.
