Naturi Naughton sat down for an interview with The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, where she talked about her appearance on MTV's popular Cribs show. The actress and singer revealed she and her 3LW bandmates were only pretending to have an immaculate home when they appeared on the program.

The 3LW member said herself, Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams didn't actually own much of anything at the time. But the singers had to play the part in order to be featured on the show, which featured lavish celebrity homes.

MTV did the Cribs, and you know, back when 3LW was hot, we had to pretend,” she said. “But I didn’t have a car, I didn’t have a house, I didn’t have any of those things. But we did MTV Cribs."

Naughton said they rented a home for the show and had to get a cleaning person to organize the house. They were also required to leave the house by a certain time after finishing the show.

“We had to clean up all of our stuff, get a cleaning person,” Naughton said. “It wasn’t that bad, but things were bad.”

The star of the early 2000s is now starring in the new ABC series, Queens. Co-stars Eve, Brandy and Nadine Velazquez joined Naughton during Tuesday's interview with The Breakfast Club and talked about their experiences in the industry.

Naughton enjoyed stardom with 3LW from 1999 to 2002, but then separated from the group after altercations, Essence reports. The 37-year-old focused on solo work in the following years, then found success as an actor.

In addition to playing as Jill “Da Thrill” on Queens, which is a musical drama about a '90s rap group, the actress stars as Tasha St. Patrick on the Starz program Power Book II: Ghost.

Naughton said her experience on Cribs would be relatable for her character on Queens

“There are moments when I’m in [a Queens] scene, like, ‘Yo, this really happened to me.’ I lived it. I was doing a fake Cribs,” she said.

The actress adds that it was "very similar to that, where you see how fake, we have to project this image."

"And I literally did that and had to clean the house by seven o’clock to give it back to the owner,” she said.

According to Billboard, 3LW was best known for their Billboard Hot 100 hits "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)" and "Playas Gon' Play." The songs peaked at No. 23 and No. 81.
