Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay remarried in a lavish, all-red ceremony after the couple called it quits in 2020, TMZ reports.

The singer and Renay exchanged vows for a second time at Resorts World in Vegas. According to Essence, the theme was a “red affair,” and almost every guest wore red for the nuptials and celebration. Renay stunned in a princess-worthy white gown with a larger-than-life train by Ese Azenabor and wore a more form-fitting and blinged-out gown during the reception.

A video posted by Azenabor on Instagram showed the couple’s first look. Ne-Yo, who looked dapper in a black suit and bowtie, glowed as he saw his wife-to-be in her princess gown.

The happy couple pulled out all the stops for their wedding. According to TMZ, the room was filled with more than 10,000 red roses, which the outlet was told took three days to set up. The reception space was also lit with red lighting, keeping the mood romantic, Essence reports. To say their cake was huge would be an understatement. It was around 8 feet tall (yes, you read that right — 8 feet tall) and had four different flavors.

Ne-Yo and Renay’s family played a big part in the wedding. Their kids, including the singer’s son and daughter Madilyn and Mason from his relationship, walked down the aisle beaming with pride and happiness. Ne-Yo’s mother walked the singer down the aisle, while Renay’s father escorted her down the trek to her not-so-new hubby.

The reception was popping, with Ne-Yo even grabbing the mic to sing some of his hits to Renay, including “Sexy Love.” Guests, many of whom were the couple’s celebrity friends like Nene Leakes, Tammy Rivera from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and Melody Holt from Love & Marriage: Huntsville, jumped out of their seats and headed for the dance floor once the singer started doing his thing.

The special occasion comes after tough times for the couple, Essence reports. Ne-Yo was the one who filed for divorce back in 2020 after rumors that the two were at a breaking point. While the pandemic wasn’t good for anyone, the singer told Essence last year that it did help save their relationship.

“The [quarantine] made us face the conflict head on and what that did is basically strengthen us because now, I don’t have to pull punches when I talk to you,” he said, according to Essence. “You know exactly where I stand. I know exactly where you stand and through that we’ve decided to keep going and it’s a more genuine feel to what it is we’re doing now. It’s still a learning process, of course.”

Renay learned a lot about love and marriage throughout the pandemic too. She shared her takeaways on Instagram in late March.

“Marriage is the most rewarding and challenging union you can experience,” she wrote along with several snaps of her and Ne-Yo. “It can bring you to your knees in pain but can also make your soul feel so happy, as if you’re flying.. I’ll choose you every time, in every life time , in every universe. My Twin flame. My HUSBAND. I love you so….”
