On Mother’s Day, Nicki Minaj surprised the Barbz by dropping a new music video for her latest hit single, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.”

Being a #BoyMom wasn’t the only thing the Queens rapper celebrated on Mother’s Day. That same day, she happily announced her new video, directed by Alex “Grizz Lee” Loucas, for the top 15 hit on Instagram. “♥️🥢👘 There’s now a full #RedRubyDaSleezevideo on YOUTUBE!!!! It’ll be everywhere else next week,” she captioned the clip. “Happy early MOTHER’S DAY 😘😘🫶🏽🦄🌸.”

The highly anticipated visual was shot toward the end of February during the superstar’s visit to her hometown of Trinidad and Tobago at its annual two-day carnival festivities. One thing about Minaj is she’s going to show off her voluptuous curves, which she did while rocking several ensembles from Chanel, Dior, Balmain, Louis Vuitton, Loewe and the late Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White, as Vibe reported.

The music video also features Minaj’s bestie and former video vixen Brooke Bailey, who is seen looking amazing in a Chanel bodysuit. Unknown to fans at the time, they shared a subtle hint days before the video dropped when they appeared on Instagram Live together. The 40-year-old “Super Freaky Girl” artist also posted photos of the two that were snapped while they were together in Trinidad and Tobago.

Hopefully, the premiere of the video brought a little joy and positivity to Bailey since this was her first Mother’s Day following the passing of her daughter, Kayla Nicole, who died in a car accident last September. Bailey wasn’t the only guest in Minaj’s video. Her husband, Kenneth Petty, who she married in 2019, made a quick cameo while Minaj rapped on the hood of a pink Bentley Range Rover.

Toward the end of March, “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart, and it’s still making waves. Check out the full video below:
